Lara Bingle, privacy and defamation

It’s been widely reported that Lara Bingle is suing footballer Brendan Fevola over his alleged distribution of a revealing photograph.
Bingle’s manager Max Markson says his client is taking legal action for breach of privacy, defamation and misuse of her image.
If Bingle wins the privacy argument it will set a legal precedent that should alarm newspapers across Australia.
The “misuse of image” argument sounds like a commercial one that may be to do with her rights as a model. Read more
